Stuck at login screen and no Power icon

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D-SP5186M that has windows 10 but it was running very slow so I decided to do a fresh start. It was working fine but just slow, and after the restart it no longer logged in. It kept saying that the password was incorrect, even if it is. I was going to attempt doing shift+restart+left click but there was no power icon either. I am just stuck on the screen and no matter how many times I force shutdown (because that is the only thing that can be done) it just says "password incorrect"; sometimes even if nothing is typed in.
