My Vizio TV Model D40-D1 sticks on one channel and the remote won’t work. This happens on only one (antenna access only) channel. Reset does not help. Possibly a faulty ir sensor. How do I find ir sensor model number without taking my tv apart?

Does the remote work at all? If so, navigate the menus and locate the channel search option. If the set only found 1 channel from that antenna, it can't channel up or down since it knows of no other channels.
Report back with the results of the channel search before you open up the set or replace parts.

The remote eventually works. If we shut it off on that particular channel and later turn the tv on, its stuck on that channel. Sometimes we have sound, sometimes not. We have to unplug the tv and sometimes that resets it, other times (when we have no sound) we just have to wait for the sound to come back then we can change channels/volume. Perhaps I’ll just delete that channel and see if that works.
