Has power, has sound, black screen... HELP PLEASE

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

OK I bought a LG 55LB5900UV-BUSWLJR 55” LED TV knowing the screen would flicker on for a second and stay black for 5 seconds then flick the screen on for 1 second and repeats  as long as the TV is powered on.

Did my research and narrowed it down to bad LED lights and I would have to replace the strips.  So I ordered brand new LED strips (made sure they fit my TV by checking the panel number and strip number) and installed them.

Now, when I plug up the TV and power it on the screen just stays black, but its powered on and has sound.

Two things I'm concerned with when I did the LED strip replacement :

1. When I removed the sheet that lays on top of the LED strips and the bulbs stick out of, the clips that hold it down were hard to remove and brittle so I broke the majority of them and didn't use them when I put the TV back together. Could that cause a problem?

2. After I installed the replacement LED strips, I had to reconnect the LED connections that power the LED lights. But when I removed the connections from the original strips, they were pretty snug and I had to squeeze the sides and pull up to remove them and it took some effort to do so. But when I tried to reconnect the connections, it wasn't locking into place and would easily pop out with any movement of the wires. All of the connectors did this so I taped them down with electrical tape and rebuilt the TV to see the black screen... Could it be that the taped down connections aren't getting a good enough connection to power the new LED lights, causing this black screen ?

LG 55LB5900UV - BUSWLJR... Have power, have sound, black screen.

Thanks in advance for any input towards finding a solution to the problem!!

This is my current state with the tv. I don't have sound because my speakers aren't plugged up. Seems to get dimmer after a few flicks too. I can navigate the inputs, the channels, and the menu with the remote, it all just flicks.

Is it possible to get these LED strip connectors mixed up and still have enough power to flicker but not stay lit?

#1 is negative. That would not be your issue. #2 is a possiblity. Measure the voltages going to your LED connectors and see what you get. The other thing to check for, is the voltages to your LED’s from the power board. The values are written on the board so measure that on the connector. If you can post some images of your boards as well as the LED conections that you are having trouble with. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide 기존 질문에 이미지 추가하기 for that.

Sorry for the late response. Turns out I bought the wrong led strips and ordered the correct pair. I just got them today and I've already put them in. Turn it on to screen flashing again. Now these led strips are brand new from ShopJimmy. Com so it can't be the led lights. The connection issue is fixed with the correct light strips. I can upload pics of the boards though

How can I troubleshoot this?

Which board powers the led lights?

I added photos to the answers section. The green board on the right of the tan power board is making a faint hissing sound, is that normal?

Led lights connect to the top connector on power board.

@incognegro918 the hissing can be caused by inductors and transformers, most likely normal. It is the power board that turns the lights on and the main board that tells it when to turn them on (check voltages on P201). Check the DC voltage on connector P801 and see what that voltage is.

take a look at this video for an idea who to check (you know where)

I don't have a multimeter but I can get one Thursday. The Tv has power, has sound, but the screen flickers on for 1 second then black for 3-5 seconds and repeats as long as the TV is powered on.

Thanks again Oldturkey03
