Spilled nailpolish on keyboard- it is working
Hello. I spilled some nailpolish remover (ingredients : acetone, avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil, fragrance, denatonium benzoate, yellow 11, green 6, benzophenone-1) on my MacBook Air yesterday around 5p.m.
I flipped it upside down and open immediately. I turned it on today at 11a.m. and it's working fine. Two of the keys are sticky but they still work and it booted up fine.
I'm reading in this forum that nailpolish remover leaves flammable traces but does this mean my computer might light on fire? Acetone doesn't leave a residue so I'm not sure how people were claiming this in previous responses.
I've turned my computer back off and upside down and open but if it's working fine when I turn it on later today is there still much of a risk of additional damage? I feel like whatever damage would have been done in 24 hours will be the extent of it, is that true?
Thank you.
