My Slot-1 won't read

So I have this DS Lite for some quite time (like, 10 years+) and recently I decided to revive it. The thing is, Slot-1 is not reading properly. I put the cartridge in but 90% of the time it won’t read. Then I decided to use a contact cleaner spray, both in the slot and in the cartridge contacts. It worked, but only momentarily. After some minutes the issue returns. The pins are not bent, I already checked it. I’m seriously thinking about changing the slot manually (don’t worry, I got skills), but I don’t know if it’s really necessary. You do you guys think?
