There are many things to consider when a vehicle won’t start. If you were able to start the vehicle prior to the battery disconnect, we can start with some very common and easily diagnosed common issues. Start with the battery and electrical system. Check the battery voltage. Fully charged, the voltage should be 12.6 volts or higher. If the battery is dead, it can read anywhere from 0.0 volts to around 11.5. Even 12.0 volts could be insufficient to start the vehicle. If while disconnecting and reconnecting the battery you accidentally crossed the positive (+ Red) and negative (- Black) leads or disconnected positive first and it touched the frame, you may have either fried some wires, or more likely have blown fuse(s). Check some wires in the immediate area for burning or a burnt stench. Check your fuse box lid for a diagram and use it to reference locations for fuses related to starting the vehicle like the starter. I’m not familiar with this vehicle, but anything you find that you think may be related to starting the vehicle or essential for operation, you should check the fuse. Replace any fuses that are blown anyways once the issue is resolved. The community will need more information if this doesn’t help you. Consider offering information such as, when you turn the key, is it clicking, cranking over, or is it just plain silent? Do your headlights or dash indicators come on? Radio? Is there gas in the tank? I know, dumb, but important. Is there an aftermarket addition like a sound system or alarm system? Let us know and we should be able to further assist you. There’s nothing worse than a useless vehicle.

My 1996 Trooper, had TOTAL tuneup but it started taking longer to catch on the ignition so finally won’t start at all. PLEASE HELP!!! Want my truck back

Well my Bighorn cranks but it doesn't start, I'm not able to detect the 5v to power sensors and the MIL (check engine light) no longer comes up, though a sensors is disconnected. Any help?? Only the Check Transmission light comes up now and I suspect it comes up because it doesn't see the 5 v signal from the ECM
