Won’t turn on (SMC light signal works)

Hi everyone so my laptop had stopped working due to corrosion to the MagSafe port, I replaced it and I’m getting the charger to light up and the charger light reacts to the SMC reset, but I still can’t get it to kick on. Any suggestions? (It’s only been charging an hour now)

Give it a couple more hours of charging. Does it have a battery test button on the side?

@mayer unfortunately not. I’ll try giving it a few more hours, but I can tell powers at least getting to the board due to the SMC light cycle showing

Disconnected the battery, reconnected it now it’s not sending a signal charge to the MagSafe so the MagSafe is staying green. SMC reset no change in light status now
