My NESs' red light flashed once and Now theres no light.

I have an original old school NES. It's new but refurbished. I tried to start it today and I was getting no red lights flash.. after a couple minutes of playing around with it trying to start it; the red light blinked once. I'm getting nothing at all still what could it be? Please and please. Thankyou :]
