replaced power button now black screen with vib every few seconds

My power button had not been working for a while. So I decided to replace it to see if that would fix it. After the button install my phone will not power on. When I plug it into the computer or charging cable the screen remains black and it vibrates every few seconds. When I turn vibrate off through the side buttons it beeps every few seconds. I cannot get it to power back on. I tried to do a factory restore through iTunes and it said there was an issue and was not successful.
