WF7610 Error Code 0x9A blocked carriage

Good Morning,

I have already replaced this printer (with a much cheaper model with way less bells and whistles), but before I send it to the recycling center I thought I’d make one more last ditch effort to save it.

I can physically see a part in the printer blocking the carriage from moving (see photo). I don’t know what this piece is so I have been having a hard time searching for a fix. The carriage will not budge and the error code cannot be removed from the screen.

Any ideas on what the white plastic part is and how I can get it to go down to release the printer carriage?
