Sony tv no picture has sound

disconnect all inputs. disconnect the power cord. Hold the power button depressed for about a minute, then connect one video source. Try something like a game console or a DVD player (just in case the issue comes from your DVR box).Right now it sounds like it could be a backlight issue as well as a video issue, With the TV on and sound working, shine a flashlight at an angle(in a darkened room) against the screen. If you can make out shapes and silhouettes, it is a backlight issue. Could be a bad backlight array or bad power board. If you do not see anything it could be a bad main board or T-con board. If that does not work you may have to replace the back on your TV and check a few things.
