Power issues, only powers when plugged in - UK

Right,

So this machine powers on only when plugged in. Charges battery and can shut down normally via the menu.

Power button will not function at all! It will power off & on via the power pads on the logic board. However if left plugged in, it automatically comes on.

This leads me to ask: Is it possible that the machine little daughter board could be short out and cause it to come on?

BUT… Power button still dead I’m confused!

Same issue regardless off the battery being connected or not

Don't over think this ;-} Please lets see what the state of the battery is, I have a good reason.
