Optical drive no power

Hello, I fixed the optical drive roller which was misplaced to fix the CD intake problem, This problem was fixed but I was still getting error with disk reading so I decided to replace the laser kit. I successfully replaced it. I restarted my PS4 but no activity in optical drive. It is not doing anything. Seems there is no power. It seems something got wrong during re-assembly. Not sure how to fix now. Any suggestion and how to check if optical drive is getting power. did any cable got bad?

maybe you nicked a cable going to the drive , or its a software issue

Most laser assemblies ship with a shorting solder connection on the ribbon cable to prevent static damage. Look carefully at the cable on the optics assembly itself for a small “bubble” of solder. Remove this and the laser should work. Since the assembly won’t attempt to spin the disk unless one is detected (laser lights and detects the reflection if a disk is there), it may appear that the assembly has no power. Check for the short and update this with what you find. If you can, post a few pix of the assembly from different angles too.
