Problems with the digitizer, and possibly logic board

Hey guys, found the site and I love it.

So I just got home from college and had my ipod in my pocket. My beloved mother wanted to do the laundry and I forgot to take it out of my pants. Unfortunately it went through the wash. I set it in rice and a day later it was fine.

I realized that night, however, that the battery no longer worked. I set apart tearing it down using a hair dryer and the tiniest edge of a razor blade to remove the screen (as carefully as possible). After removing the screws I doused the logic board in alcohol. After leaving it in for a few hours I let it dry for a day and plugged it in and viola! it worked!

Now my mom unfortunatley washed the bowl that the screws were in (minor frustration) but I set at it again for a test run without the screws. It was a little loose but turned on. Unfortunately I did not receive a response from the touch. I ran the diagnostic when it was (kind of) put together. I received an OK! in all categories except "OC" (it said C5).

I don't believe I damaged it.

Any ideas as to what I should do next. I cleaned the connectors in isopropyl and its drying now.

Dlem, I believe you need one of the screws to be grounded to the case. But I might be wrong about that. But since the nano had a wash I would say try replacing the digitizer/LCD.

But if you don't want to throw money into it, just part it out you might recover half of the money back.

Hope that helps. Good luck with that.
