rca galileo 11.5 boot up issue after no use

I have not use my tablet in over a year. I took it out charged it fully, and noticed that it was on. It is stuck on the logo screen of RCA with the two dogs. I have done the factory reset with the power button and the sound control to no avail and then I did the factory reset on the back of the tablet with a pen and all I got was the battery icon on screen and then back to the RCA logo. Called RCA they said I need to send it in for repair. Note to other users if you do not use your tablet for a. Of time there's a possibility it will not boot up. It will have to be sent back to the factory to be repaired. A private technician repair shop cannot repair this item. Just FYI if anyone is having that issue.
