Wi-Fi Antenna or Chip?

Not really a question; more like asking for confirmation of my assessment!

The Wi-Fi option is grayed out on the iPad. Bluetooth is switchable, but cannot locate devices. I’ve reset the network settings, all settings, and done a full restore of the iPad, and so I’m fairly certain it’s not software. My assumption is that it’s the Wi-Fi antenna and not the chip itself because I still have a MAC address for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Also, there’s no physical damage to the unit; everything looks like it’s in great shape.

Do you think I’m right? Thanks for your help in advance!

Antenna would usually just give you a weak signal, it's usually the chip that greys out the option

I agree, there's more to the WiFi logic here that can explain your symptoms. The Mac Addresses is part of the digital side, the grey-out sounds more like a failure of the analogy side of the logic.

The MAC & WiFi addresses are stored in the NAND, that's why you can see them. Dan & Dan are correct, this is most likely a WLAN IC issue.

I think you should first try replacing the antenna and if that doesn’t work then the chip because the wifi antenna is rely cheap so it’s worth a shot.iPad 3 and 4 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Antenna

It's not a bad suggestion but the antenna is just a wire and is a passive device. The OP should check to insure the integrity of the antenna (connector, flex etc.) but beyond that, if the antenna is in good shape the issue will be elsewhere.
