Will turn over and act like it's gonna run..
I have a 1996 club car turf carry all… It acts like it is going to take off but as you mash the pedal it just keeps turning over not engaging in forward or reverse…

It's Gas... Gas lines were dry rotted pouring gas I'm a newbie at this it belongs to a guy I work for he bought it to resale...and asked if I would get it running to sale... I drained old gas added new.. Charged battery..

If the fuel lines are cracked and leaking, that's definitely part of the problem. It could also be that the carburetor has gotten clogged up with dirt and grime from the old gas.
