MacBook turning off with 50% charge

I have a macbook pro mid2010 that I changed the battery and logic board about a year

ago, I have an issue with the battery that after a full charge and removing the charger plug the battery suddenly drops below 80% runs normal till about 50% and then the macbook suddenly shutdown down and don’t turn up again until I plug the charger again, tried reseting smc and calibrating the battery with no result, and help pls?

Who's battery did you put in? Also why did you also replace the logic board?

The original logic board failed so it had to be changed, don’t kniw the brand if the battery because it was installed from a third party store, what i find strange is that the full charge capacity is greater then the designed capacity. Isn’t that over charging ?

Lets pop the bottom cover off and disconnect the battery. press and hold the power button for a good minute. Then plug in the MagSafe charger the system should spontaneously start check the CoconutBattery again snap another pic and also give us the batteries info.

Data showed by Coconut battery are too good to be true, no battery stays perfect after 122 charge cycles, even above design capacity in this case. The two possible options are a faulty SMC circuitry or a faulty battery logic. Unless you are willing to test component by component all SMC charging related parts the only way to know what’s wrong of the two is to find an alternative battery.

One could just try a known good battery to isolate out if the battery is reporting correctly. I've encountered a few batts that just lie to SMC
