iPhone 6 wont turn on and I need the pictures!
IPhone 6 won’t turn on and therefore I can’t recover my pictures. When I plug it into the wall charger, a red battery empty symbol appears but the phone doesn’t charge.
The apple shop said it doesn’t appear to be the battery, any ideas what the issue might be?? Should I pay for a company to attempt to fix, or give it a go myself?
The pictures are important to my wife
Many thanks!

Gents,
I'm extremely grateful for you taking the time to review my post and provide a response.
Attached is an image of the phone while connected to the main supply. please note the cracked glass/screen has not impacted the phones usage and was there prior to the issue.
Let me know if this changes your prognosis?
Many thanks!

Picture pretty much confirms my previous answer, looks as if it's charging but it doesn't..battery >charging port >logic board repair would be the steps to take in my opinion.

Thanks arbaman, I'll review the tutorial and make a decision if I'll be able to have a crack at this myself

@nymjam To be honest I'm not very convinced It would be worth very much time wasting, basic troubleshooting routine would be the one I pointed out, but I have a hunch it's a classic Tristar IC failure, if you used aftermarket cables that would be a very likely cause. If you have a good microsoldering lab in your neighbourhood I'd let them fix the issue without risking time and money on a possibly useless repair.

Tristar looks fine, it shouldn't be getting that low battery logo without the cable icon at the bottom if that was the case.
It's either one of these:
- Either a bad battery. It really should turn on normally with a charged battery.
- Charger port. Clean the charging port if the cable isn't going in fully (should be no / tiny gap between the cable plug and the housing a fine straight tip tweezer will do the trick, take note of the pins in the charging port be careful not to touch them as they can be damaged)
