Random Shutdowns and won’t turn back on

Hi guys. My MacBook Pro occasionally shutdowns around 50 percent battery. After that it won’t restart unless plugged in. When I try resetting SMC to turn it back on it works but 30 seconds in after the logging screen it shuts own again. Please help. TIA

I just bought the ‘OEM’ battery of a reputable retailer. About a week ago.

Your battery is likely worn out. Lets give this gem of an app a try to check it out CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the main window once with the MagSafe disconnected connected and a second after you're run the system awhile with the MagSafe connected so we can see it charging as well. Bad replacement battery, I get this a lot from a1286 battery suppliers. Went through like 5 suppliers until I found a good one.

Chas - Can you please give CoconutBattery a try as it will give us a better view. Click on the blue URL link to get it. BTW the free version is all we need to use.

Again follow the directions getting two snapshots (screen captures using Command + Shift + 4 keys)
