Screen blank - speakers and backlight work

There's an obvious burn on the lower right hand side of the board pictured. Is the board salvageable or should I just buy a new one? ShopJimmy has a replacement board for ~35 bucks. Edit: the picture isn't showing up in the post. Not sure why. There's a burn on the pcb.
