Fan turns on at full speed and in osx goes to sleep every 3 seconds

So I got that imac I’m trying to repair, already changed the display, it came with a new heat detector but I just put the old one on it, and when started it wouldn’t stop turning the fans all the way up. I tried to reset the PRAM and SMC and now it still turns the fans on all the way up, but also goes to sleep every 3 seconds and I’m not sure why. Any pointers? Thanks!

The thing is that new thermometer doesn't have the same plug, so I can't plug it in my motherboard, that's why I used the old one (It wasn't a chip it was just a piece of metal I just put at the same place as the older display)
