Touchpad not working in MacOS, but working in diagnostics mode
MacBook Air A1466
Touchpad working in diagnostics but not working in MacOS.
What will be the issue? SMC done, OS reinstalled but no change.

Please try starting up in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key on start up. This will tell us if it is a software issue or possible virus.

If Trackpad issue then why it works in diagnostics mode?
You are seeing a split horizon type of problem. The diagnostics can only check upto and including the USB logic on the touchpad. It does not have any way to see the fingering of the surface of the touchpad. In this case the track surface is damaged.
Replaced track pad and its cable but no change same issue persist....What is next
Not possible! Did you damage the logic board connector? Otherwise return the part as its defective!
