How to work with iPhone 5s glass without OCA layer

You have a couple options. you will need and OCA layer whether you buy it separate or pre installed. You want to be careful as well with what OCA you get. You will want to get Mitsubishi brand. There are multiple types of screens that companies offer.

2in1- Glass and Frame (the one you have now)

3in1- Glass, Frame and OCA (the one you want)

4in1- Glass, Frame, OCA and Polarizer (do not go this route)

you will want to find 3in1 screens, the reason you don’t want the 4in1 is because the polarizer has to be laminated almost instantly and is not very forgiving with air bubbles. Below is a link to the screens that we use

You can buy the OCA glue (sheets) online in many places but if it were me, I’d return the glass and purchase the display already together. Ifixit carries these and used at a very reasonable price. The reason I suggest returning the glass only is that if it is not done absolutely perfect, you wind up with bubbles or worse in your display.

You received a 2in1 glass which is the glass and frame what you need is a 3in1 which is glass, frame and OCA then there is a 4 in1 which is glass,frame,OCA and polarizer do not get this one because the polarizer bubbles are very unforgiving.
