My MacBook wouldn't boot

So my macbook wouldnt start.

I already trued everything: every command to reset, reinstall and nothing. My last try was plugging the macbook to my smart tv thru HDMI and nothing happened.

the screen is all white and the graphics are very bad.

the apple logo spears and seems like is going to boot but then nothing happens and the screen either turns black or completely white.

Does anybody has an idea whats the problem?

I though about an apple authorized but they would charge me $50 for diagnosis.

If it’s getting stuck on the apple logo you may need to get the GPU temporarily disabled using this method, good enough if you need to get information off the MacBook:

When you mean graphics very bad, is it like showing horizontal jagged colored lines running diagonally across the screen?

If yes the graphics chip has failed. It’s pretty much the end for that MacBook as there is no real suitable fix for that without some experience in micro-soldering.

To get the MacBook working the discrete graphics chip would need to be disabled using this method:

That MuxHat is a nice and elegant solution, last I had seen was a tangle of wires around the Mux Ic. Bright mind behind :)

First, Apple will tell you that this machine is no longer supported and try to sell you a new one.

They will not mention that there was a class action law suit on the GPU problems of this model, and a recall repair program to fix it ( which has now expired).

You first need to try a program that turns off the intgrated graphic on the GPU. That is gfxcard status

You have to pull the drive, hook up to another Mac via USB to SATA adapter to install it.

So I found this place that fix MacBooks. They said it might be the GPU and they would put a new one so would be like brand new.

Do you think it is worth to do I don't need to buy a new one?

Might cost between $250 and $350....

As far as I know, one one in the country has been able to find reliable replacement GPUs for this model or I would recommend that. The the gfxcardstatus application first and see if that gives you an acceptable resolution.
