Why is my MacBook Air crashing?
I have an Early 2014 13” MacBook Air that sometimes crashes.
First of all, I wanna mention that the actual SSD isn’t the original one, but an Intel 660p and it’s connected into the SSD slot from the motherboard with a special adapter.
OK, So the problem is that sometimes the machine turns off, and then I have to disconnect the battery for some hours ( 3 - 5 even 10 to 12) to work. One time I wasn’t able to use it for about 3-4 days, same problem.
Before crashing, the backlight of the keyboard is flashing, turning on and off for several seconds.
Even the charger won’t work properly in that period of time, the indicator light won’t the right one, sometimes was green, even if the battery was at 30- 40 % of juice, or sometimes the color was only orange from the moment I connect, and the color won’t change from an normal green first to orange, if isn’t full.
Another thing that I think it’s not normal is that the processor is very hot, like 70’ - to 90 ‘ Celsius degree, even if the thermal paste was changed by myself.
I don’t know if the problem is the SSD, but sometimes when i started the MBA, when the problem was persisting , the “STOP” sign showed on the display (that cutted zero).
This has been returned by the MBA when it turned on (this post was made with the actual machine, ‘cuz now, somehow, it’s working)
Well, I wanna know is someone had this problem and how has been fixed.
