PS4 won’t accept disc but powers on?

Hello,

So im trying to fix a ps4 slim that won’t accept any discs and because of this, I cannot update the system and play anything. When I try to insert a disc and the unit is off, the unit DOES power on but does not suck in the disc. When trying the eject button, it beeps three times as it should since there is no disc present.

If I use the manual eject screw to manually suck the disc in all the way while the unit is powered on, the eject button beeps once when I press it as it should but the disc does not eject. It seems to recognize that the disc is inserted but won’t eject it. No rollers spinning or anything.

If I need to completely replace the disc drive, I guess I can do that but before doing that, I’d like to try everything I can to fix it how it is.

The rollers are in place and the connector rod is where it needs to be. Everything appears to be where it needs to be as far as mechanics and hardware.
