Water spillage on keyboard, only touch at light up on boot.

After a long night of work, my hands are clumsy and I accidentally spilled a glass of water onto my macbook. I turned it upside down but forgot to power it off. I went black screen after a minute. Since the new mbp have the stupid feature of booting up every time I open the display, the touch at keep lighting up with the basic features( brightness and volume adjustment and so on) but the system does not boot. What should I do now?

It’s going to be a bit of a challenging work on a 2018 Touchbar MBP, but the earlier you can take care of it, the better are chances the Mac can be saved. First thing to do is to disconnect the battery from the logic board, then you’ll need to follow this excellent guide explaining the steps to be taken. Unfortunately there are not many guides on your Mac yet, but you can have a look at the teardown and the few guides already available to have some guidance:
