iPhone X pulling 0.8 amps on dcps before prompt to boot

I have an iPhone X that seems to have a short, pulling 0.8 amps and then spiking, sometimes up to 1.5amps before prompt to boot on the dc power supply and only quick flashes of 0.5amps on the usb ammeter. It does show the apple logo, but goes no farther and seems to boot loop. I’ve checked several of the power lines for shorts and found everything looks normal, including vdd main, vdd boost, pp3v0_nand, pp1v8_io and a couple others. The phone does seem to get a bit warm plugged into my dcps, but by the time I get it pulled out of the iSocket it’s cooled off enough that I can’t tell where the heat is coming from.
