Fan runs faster than normal

Recently I upgraded my iMac, so I replaced the thermal paste and the hd, and I put a nvme m2 in. Now my fan runs at 2000 rpm, earlier it ran at 1200 rpm. I didn’t put any thermal sensor onto the hd. My iMac is a iMac14,2, so 27” late 2013. Do I really need the sensor as Macs fan control sees the hd’s one?

If you replaced the original hard drive with a standard spinning disk drive, you need the OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for Hard Drive Upgrade for 27" iMacs 2012 and Later

So I would need it even if the fan isn’t raging at full speed?

I don’t understand why I should buy it since the fan only runs at 2000 rpm, not the max 3600 rpm
