How to turn off private mode?

Caller ID blocking, permanent or temporary on a call by call basis is a feature provided by your landline phone service provider and it is not provided by the phone as it is in a mobile phone.

As each landline phone service provider has a slightly different arrangement on how the user can activate/deactivate the feature on their phone service, usually by dialing a code number from the phone, go online and search for how to unblock Caller ID from my home phone (insert landline phone service provider’s name) or check Caller ID status (insert landline phone service provider’s name) or something similar.

If you can’t find anything on their website, contact your landline phone service provider’s customer service section and ask them.
