I want to know if when apple repair the flexgate on the macbooks they use a new display cable with the same length as the one already damage or they opt for the 2mm longer they start to put in the newer models?
I don’t check it myself because I really does not know much about operating a computer and don’t want to damage anything.

Apple won’t replace the display cable (technically the whole display assembly) proactively! Until it fails you’ll to wait,

My bad, I forgot to mention that my 2016 MacBook Pro was already fixed from this exact problem.
But I want to know if the fix is for the same display that have the short cable or the display in the new models that have a 2mm longer cable.
The reason is because if they put the same display that came with that model (one with short cables) I suspect that the fix will be for some 2 or 3 years more because it will happens the same thing. In the other hand, if they change it the problem replacing with the new displays (with the longer cables) it may extend the live or already fix the problem. That why I’m curious.
If some further explanation is needed just ask and also thanks for respond to my incomplete question.
Well, that changes things a bit. I have no way of knowing which assembly they put in. Depending on the timing you could have gotten the original spare or the updated spare.
Maybe your paperwork can give you a clue on the parts info.
