Home button doesn't work and doesn't charge when connected?

OK a few weeks ago I dropped my iPhone. At first it worked fine however, later on the home button stopped functioning and there was no more sound when recieving a call, message or playing music through the speakers. The sound works when I have the earphones plugged in however. Also when I hook it up to charge wheather it be on my laptop or with the charger nothing happens. And now it's run out of batteries. Apart that everything else worked before it ran out of batteries. I believe that it's just a dock replacement that I need however could there be something else?
