Trackpad will not track on the upper right hand side

Hi, I have a Mac book and the trackpad on the upper right hand side will not track the cursor properly. There are some dead zones in the upper right hand side and some spots will cause the cursor to pause and then shake violently. The left hand side is completely unaffected. Another thing of note is that when I restart my computer the trackpad works again for a little while, but then gets worse over time, getting worse much quicker when using multi finger gestures, again only in the right hand side.

Is this the cable from the trackpad or is it moisture. I’ve tried using a blowdryer to only the trackpad. Did nothing. Or could it be the pad itself. Thanks

There is nothing wrong with the clicking function with the trackpad either.
