Guess it all depends on what your own personal expectations of doing such an action are. Why not try it and then post your findings in meta.ifixit (which btw, is probably a more appropriate area to post your enquiry in the first place.) Doing such an action would be actually adding to the informational database; whether it would be of any actual value of course, would be determined in the long run by the purveyor of such information.
