Replacing the charger port

Hello,

I am in the process of replacing the charger port on my ipad pro (A1584). I have removed the charger port “strip” that solders to the logic board but in doing so I accidentally removed 3 of the solder pads off of the logic board side. Can I remove the black solder mask to expose the copper next to these pads (which the pads tie into if i didnt accidentally remove them)…then solder tiny strips of copper tape to the exposed spots and lay the tape where the pads used to be…then move forward with the replacement process of the new charging port?

ALSO…is there a schematic of the logic board so I can test continuity to these three pads to make sure the “new” pads will work?

I have done a similar method on a larger scale with some pac man arcade pcbs and it worked on them so even though the ipad pro solder pads will be on a much smaller scale, in therory it should still work, correct?
