WiFi card went out

My Wi-Fi card went out, I took it to Apple they confirmed by running a diagnostic test on it.

I ordered a new Wi-Fi card from ifuxit follow the steps to a T to install it turn the computer back on and still do not have Wi-Fi card.

Call the Apple they wanted me to reinstall OS X 10.10.5. Computer says I’m missing a download went to Apple got the only download that I can find in my computer won’t install the download? Still don’t have a Wi-Fi card.

Apple of credit this computer about three years ago I have an duel core I7 processor The only issue I can see is my hard drive only has about 25 gigs left out of 500.

There are a couple of AirPort cards for this system MacBook Air (Late 2010-Mid 2012) AirPort/Bluetooth Board so I often need to reload the OS if I put a newer version into the system.

But you did get hit with an Apple Whammy! Apple allowed the OS installer image certificates to expire too soon! So the newer macOS installers are broken! Here’s more on this If you've got an old macOS install image, it will probably stop working today. You’ll need to get a newer image file, here’s what is available:

Jump down to Step 4 for the needed link on any of the above.

If you need something older you’ll need to cheat! Back dating your systems date to a date within the OS’s life span manually so the certificate check works properly.

You’ll want to setup a USB thumb drive as a bootable OS installer following one of these guides:
