Hi,

What is the make and model number of the monitor?

Has the monitor gotten wet at all or is it in a very humid environment?

The room is always in dry and a bit hot ,air flow & ventilation a bit bad there. But the heat from CPU computer add up in that room. I think it's not wet at all... Or humid enviromental.

Aha! I just remember , there was once ,

One or two drops cooked oil from my Meals spilled onto the top of monitor and some oil go down to the front part of monitor ,not inside(which we stare everyday). I wiped them up ASAP with Dry tissue+Alcohol

i think a little oil go down inside through the gap of the monitor's thin casing on top side?

@mymobilelegendss what make and model is your monitor?

@oldturkey03 It's some sort of Samsung. I had a hunch based on the design and it's confirmed in the photos (2nd photo). It looks like a 24" 1080p to me.

@nick Yup, but some sort of Samsung really doesn't help us out here

That’s usually due to layer delamination due to a panel defect, especially if it spreads over time. You can’t fix this without replacing the entire panel. Unless you’re extremely lucky and it’s internal moisture buildup rather then physical splitting, it’s not an easy fix.

The problem is with most 1st party panel manufacturers, it’s typically cheaper to replace the monitor as a unit due to the cost of the actual panel itself. Unless you can find a cheap panel, you may be better off replacing the entire monitor. Look at the price of panels and see, but it’s usually a losing proposition. The exception is if it’s manufactured by Samsung - if it uses 1st party parts, game over. 3rd party panels may be economically priced - especially AUO Samsung monitors.

Make sure you reset the panel hours as well if you find one that’s brand new. On Samsung, set the brightness and contrast to 0 and go to input and hold the knob in on the software input menu ones. On dedicated button monitors like the 245BW layout, do this after setting the monitor up to go into the service mode (no need to switch menus on these). Hold menu on panel hours for 3 seconds and it resets.

Yep. It’s one of those Samsung monitors you have to get the expensive 1st party panels for. The panel number is LTM185AT01. Since this doesn’t use a cheap panel like some of them that use the AUO equivalent as a backup, it’s looking like the repair is more then a newer monitor with better inputs and a better resolution. The service manual can be found here (translation required). It’s also not readily available new, so you may need to get a used one on eBay or at least find the AUO equivalent part if multiple panels were used.
