Is there any chance that Apple will extend backlight repair program?

I’ve been regularly following various discussion forums like MacRumors discussion forum for #flexgate, #flexgate on Twitter, I’ve also posted the question on Apple discussion community but there is no activity there. It’s like everyone has forgot about #flexgate ever happened and nobody cares anymore. The only place I’ve been able to get some answers about this issue and what should I do is here i.e. ifixit.

but, do u guys think will Apple ever extend the program to include other affected models ? I ask this because it seems like people have already forgot about this issue ever happened because there is no activity on popular forums and social media.

any general idea would be helpful.
