Occasional touch input glitches, frequently when charging

The Symptoms

My iPhone SE will occasionally suffer a touch input glitch while my finger is in contact with the screen. This is either in the form of the touch momentarily not registering, or the point of touch jumping to the bottom-left corner of the screen (I tested this by drawing a continuous line in a sketching app).

These glitches happen infrequently enough while on battery power as to be bearable, and not hugely impact everyday use; while charging, however, they happen very frequently.

What I Know

I know that the issue is likely upstream of the digitiser and display, as I temporarily switched it out for an iPhone 5S display that I know to work perfectly, and it had the same effect.

I also know that the previous owner had the display replaced after it was cracked, although given the above I don’t think it has much to do with the issue I’m having.

I’m aware of similar problems other forum members have had while using non-Apple chargers, and while I normally use a non-Apple charger, testing it with a genuine charger yielded the same result.

I suspect this might end up needing board-level repair, if it can be repaired at all. Looking forward to your responses!
