Drain pump works but does not drain water

My washer will not drain water. It is an lg top loader. It keeps giving error code oe meaning that a hose is clogged. The house is not clogged and the drain pump works. I took it out and tested it and the motor is working and the Wiring is also. There is a lot of debris when I put it in self clean or when I drain the water by gravity. Can someone help me solve this issue. Planes and THANK YOU.

david flores what is the complete model number for your LG washer?

You have comments turned off on YouTube? Wanted to see what the issue was. Mine is doing exactly the same thing. I have it all taken apart and was gonna just buy the new pump for the left side. That the side that's making the noise. It's the blade spinning.

Wait it was not working that whole time? From Jan 2020 to Oct 2020 when you posted the YouTube video? Why didn't you change the pump?

Gotta say, during Covid I've been seeing masks getting stuck in the tub-to-pump hose and between the tub and drum. They are small enough to slip between the drum and the tub at the front, where there's a 1/4" gap between the two. So if you've replaced the pump and it's still not working, that'd worth checking. The hose in question is the one that attaches to the bottom of the outer tub on one end, and the drain pump housing on the other, on LG's it's usually secured to the tub with a screw clamp.

Another thing that's worth checking is your drain hose installation. If it's too far down the standpipe this can cause issues with draining. Ideally you want the drain hose to only stick down about 4-6 inches into the standpipe. Sometimes I see them sitting several feet down, with the opening down in the standing water, and this can cause the unit to not drain properly.

IF on the other hand someone has a viable solution, I am all ears...so please do us all a favor and end our misery and post the solution...

Please check if this model has a coin collector. I had never had a front load washer and never heard of such a thing until I got that error and checked out the pump and drain hose and found a plastic compartment filled with crap that I had to clean out. Didn’t have those on top loaders that I have owned. If you fill the washer up and then advance the cycle or set the mode to drain, what happens? If pump and drain line are clear, including any filter or inline coin collector, then you may have a sensor or electronic problem.

No I've checked all these. If I bring house down lower almost to pump level it manages to pump out. Otherwise too weak.

It only manages to get water out if there is a lot of water in the machine and even then it's episodic. Otherwise it just struggles and makes the clicking sound

btw i tested the power going to the pump during the drain cycle and it's correct.

Could be impeller is slipping on motor shaft or something in the motor is worn and the motor/impeller is not developing the necessary torque to pump the water up the drain pipe. If pump motor and impeller are producing enough torque, impellers or housing could be worn and not sealing well enough to overcome the back pressure from the water column in the drain hose.

replaced it twice with new ones. same behavior

It's not uncommon for drain pumps to fail mechanically. Impeller could have come off the shaft, so now there's nothing pumping water even though the pump motor is running. If you're getting 120VAC from the board to the pump, your pump is bad.

i replaced it already twice. no dice. same behavior
