Why isn't my game boy color turning on
So I just put new batteries in my game boy color but it won’t turn on. the power light flashes on for a second then turns off immediately

Most of the times the battery pins are dirty or there is corrosion on it.
Did you checked your battery pins? Otherwise clean it (with isopropyl alcohol) and then dry it, leave it be for a while and try again with new batteries.
If that won’t work, it’s motherboard related, and you should check the components on the motherboard.
