Dell U3415W - driver SS8410A

Hi. I managed to brake the ribbon driver no: SS8410A - C5LV. I can't find the exact same part on the Internet. Would any other work? Like C8LV? What is the difference?

@mcel not sure what you are referring to as ribbon driver. Going by your number that sounds like a COF/TAB IC flex cable

@mcel you can only substitute if you know that the contacts are identical. Even the same part number with a different version can mess up your monitor. If the pinout of this is unknown you can only replace like for like.

Thanks for the answer. Do you think Dell would sell a part? I tried to contact the support but they refuse any answers before I provide an original invoice. I don’t have it because I bought it second hand on Ebay. It was working for a year and suddenly some issues appeared. When I tried to strip it down I broke a small part of the flex.

@mcel probably not. You'll have to check places that will deal with those ribbon cables specifically.I’d contact somebody like this and see if they could help me out.
