Hi, I can’t physically get into my Mac that’s the problem

I can start it in recovery mode but the version it wants to install is the corrupted copy

If you are trying to do an internet install the date trick will not work. You are going to have to have a download install on an external boot drive. Or you can do this in Target Mode with another Mac running El Capitain.
