Black screen, repeated chime, can my MacBook be recovered?

Halo everyone.

First of all, sorry for my bad English.

So, my MacBook air A1465 suddenly fall into a deep coma.

The MacBook is now can not turn on. Just a blank black screen with repeating chime.

I did the SMC reset, PRAM Reset, etc nothing work. even I cannot use any boot key combination at all (except for SMC and PRAM Reset).

What happened?

When I was doing some work, the mac shut down when the battery level at around 20%.

I thought it might be just the battery os too low.

I grabbed the MagSafe, plug it in. The charger light comes on. and I leave it for a few minutes.

Then I opened the clamshell, and press the power button.

Nothing, black screen. Thinking that maybe it just needs time to boot, I leave it alone. a few minutes later I come back and the screen still black and the fan spinning so %#*@ loud. I then pressed the power button to force it to shutdown.

Then I try to boot into safe mode, it sometimes working (i am able to get into the OS in safe mode) but sometimes it just doesn’t work, like the shift button doesn't even respond when I pressed it while the mac is starting up.

Tried the SMC reset, pram reset, but nothing takes any noticeable effect. Still black screen and repeating chime.

When I was finally able to boot into the macOS, the first thing I did was updating the operating system from macOS Sierra to High Sierra (Thinking that maybe it just the OS is too old and need some update).

But no, the problem is still there, when I close the clamshell and open it again, the black screen is back.

Then I thought, maybe I should clean install the thing. So I did. I grabbed some USB Stick and make a bootable.

Using the disk utility tools, I formatted the SSD and proceeded to install the High Sierra.

When the first time it reboots, I can see the Apple logo and the progress bar, but nothing else. the progress bar doesn’t move, the apple logo stays there for hours. Then I again hold the power button to shut it down.

Long story short, now the mac is completely dead, I can no longer able to boot the USB Installer, cant get into diagnostics, CMD+R doesn't work, nothing.

All of the boot key combos don’t work. I tried every tingle combination and every single way of pressing it, nothing.

What is the possible status of this MacBook?

Is it the EFI Chip that is corrupt? or is it the RAM? Processor? GPU? Hardware issue or just simply the EFI Firmware is broken.

In short? can I recover this MacBook? at this point, I am willing to even try to solder the new EFI Chip, but before I do that I just want to narrow it down.

Can anyone help me to guide me in the right direction without involving apple store, because in my place there is no way I could find any apple store or genius bar.

Relax! ;-}

A dead as a door nail system is often a power issue so lets walk though the steps to isolate the issue.

What is the color of the MagSafe charger LED Amber or Green? An Amber light is telling you the battery needs to be charged, let it stay pulled in for a good eight hours. Did it get to Green?

If its Green and it won’t start we will need to disconnect the battery. Follow this guide: MacBook Air 11" Early 2015 Battery Replacement Stop after completing Step 3. Now with nothing connected to your system press and hold the power button for a good 30 sec’s. Now prop your system on its side so you can plug in the MagSafe connection when you do the system should spontaneously startup, did it?

If it did you know your battery needs replacing given the age of your system it wouldn’t surprise me.

Update (03/16/2020)

I wouldn't have disconnected the I/O Board cable as there is needed logic on it.

At this point I fear your logic board has a failure you’ll need to replace it MacBook Air 11" (Early 2015) 1.6 GHz Logic Board following this guide MacBook Air 11" Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement

Already did that, the MacBook is charging correctly. it charging like normal. I mean, when it is charging the light is amber, when it is full the light is green.

Also, I should mention that I already try to power on the device without the battery, or with battery only with IO cable disconnected. tried to power the MacBook without the SSD/hard drive.

Same result, black screen, fan spinning, repeating chime. (the first chime sound is like a normal startup, but then after that the chime sounds a bit cracking).
