Unable to update huawei erecovery -getting package info failed

My Huawei P10 lite has not been in use for a while, when i started it up it went into erecovery mode , however when attempting to connect to wifi ,it states getting package info failed. I also noticed that the actually battery is swollen and feels like liquid when i press on it. The phone doesn’t charge ,it continuously switches on and off when on charged.

Is there anything i can do to obtain the data on my phone?

I am really desperate.

I would say that the battery is a dangerous state and you should be very careful.
