guide to replace the LCD’s CCFL backlight tube
Anyone has a guide to replace the LCD’s CCFL backlight tube in HP Compaq 6820 or 6830s ?

Not a guide as such but perhaps some helpful information.
Here’s the maintenance and service guide for a 6830s.
Go to p.55 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the display panel.
Have you checked that the inverter is not the problem rather than the CCFL tube as the symptoms can be the same?
If it is determined that the inverter is the problem , search online for 490326-001 to find suppliers.
Here’s a video that may be of some help when going to change the CCFL tube
Here’s a link to just one supplier. It is only to give an idea of the cost of the part.

CCFL backlight tube is working finebut just that display becomes yellowish.
Not sure if old CCFL tube causing the screen to be yellowish. or the inverter board.
I bought replacement CCFL backlight tubes.
Initially, I thought of replacing CCFL & Inverter board with LED & LED driver board.

Guess you can only try connecting the new ccfl tube to the inverter board before inserting it into the panel and check if the colour is OK or not.
This should tell if the inverter is OK although it could also be a combination of both, tube and inverter. The inverter is not able to supply the increased demand of the tube because it is failing due to degradation of the phosphor coating on the inside of the tube
