Why is my MacBook Air constantly throwing air?

My little sister spilled milk where my MacBook throws air. After that my sound stopped working, so I updated my computer. When I updated it, It kept on throwing air even though my MacBook was not hot. Some of my apps had stopped working. Then I realized that the milk may have gone inside my MacBook. I don’t know much about MacBook airs, and I tried reseting my MacBook to fix it but it doesn’t work.
