1 Why is my Kindle fire screen dark?
I went through the reset process and the startup screens came on, but when the next screen came up, the screen faded. You can see that the items are there on the screen but they are too faint to read

post some pics of what youre seeing. may be a display issue, a mother board issue with the dimming control or a setting in software. pictures and more info will help determine some things.
