The 5th generation BMW 3 Series is based on the E9X platform. The car pictured is a E90 chassis. The E9X chassis was used from 2004-2013 when the F1X chassis was released. When talking about a non-specific chassis, this generation is typically referred to as the E9X chassis since there are multiple chassis for this generation of 3 series, depending on the body style (E90/E91/E92/E93).

BMW 328 I black smoke

While driving black smoke is coming from exhaust and the car shuts off and my power steering goes out. Also my speedometer stops working? What could be the issue

It's running rich which means that to much gas is being put into the engine. And everything will stop working when the engine dies. Take it to a repair shop, it has issues with the fuel delivery system and it can cause damage if you continue to drive like this. Once they repair the issue you need to change the oil. It's most likely diluted with gas and won't have the the lubrication properties that it should have.
